I ran across a memo from the Bureau of Land Management regarding geocaching on BLM land.
Geocaching has been determined to fall into the category of appropriate recreational usage on BLM lands.
I figure that geocaching and letterboxing are close enough cousins that we can extend this information to include letterboxing.

California Bear,
do you have the correct reference for that memo? This one didn't
work and I would like to have a copy of it as many of the places I
hope to plant are on BLM property.

Nevermind, I figured it out. Take the dot off after the htm and it
goes to the right place. Here's the ref for any others

For some reason, my e-mail program split the URL into two lines and put a space in the middle. I recopied it below on its own line so we'll see how that one does.

For some reason, my e-mail program split the URL into two lines and put a space in the middle. I recopied it below on its own line so we'll see how that one does.
